The Monk & The Witch
The Monk and the Witch Saga is a long-form Forgotten Realms fan-saga about mercy, protection, love, and the consequences of trying to help.
It follows Ṛṣiśūra, a Mercy monk shaped by suffering and discipline, and Maeril Greenward, an abjurer-witch of thresholds, wards, food, shelter, and living protection.
Their story begins with practical acts of care: a body placed between violence and the vulnerable, a ward set at the edge of danger, a meal offered where the world has become cruel.
From there, the saga grows outward.
Across nine books, the question changes. At first, it is simple: how do you help the person in front of you? Then the answer becomes harder. How do you build care that lasts after you leave? How do you heal without erasing truth? How do you protect people without owning them? How do you keep goodness from becoming a path the enemy can use?
This is a Dungeons & Dragons fanfiction, but it is not a game recap. It is a character-driven saga of roads, cities, forests, gods, wounds, chosen family, romance, monsters, magic, and moral consequence. The adventure matters, but the heart of the story is what mercy becomes when one good act is no longer enough.
The saga begins with a monk and a witch learning how to care for the wounded.
It follows what happens when that care becomes a method, a household, a structure, a burden, a ward, and finally something that must survive in many hands.
