Book 5
The Sleepless One
Status: Full prose draft complete
The Sleepless One is about guardianship waking inside the broken family. The ancient guardian Seamwarden is discovered: a mythal-warden made to watch and mend old magical seams. Maeril becomes its maternal anchor, Nessari begins apprenticeship under Maeril and Ṛṣi, and the household’s wound becomes a new responsibility rather than only an old injury.
The book turns aftermath into inheritance. The question is no longer only what happened, or who must live with guilt. The question becomes what wakes because of the wound: the child, the relic, the guardian, the danger, the desire, and the future that will inherit whatever the adults choose to teach.
