Book 4
A Broken Family
Status: Full prose draft complete
A Broken Family is about entering a wound that cannot simply be fixed. After the grove, Ṛṣi and Maeril remain near the Moonglade household: a family tied to the violence that harmed them, and a family whose own brokenness is now exposed. The same rooms can hold hospitality, shame, tenderness, anger, duty, silence, and obligation.
This book is not about quick reconciliation. It is about staying close enough for truth to become possible, while setting boundaries strong enough to survive that truth. Mercy here does not erase guilt. It asks what kind of life can be built near people who caused harm and must still decide what they will become.
