Living Echoes begins as a rescue story and becomes something stranger. Elisa is lost, Chime has followed her, Firemind is shattered stone, and Ṛṣi, Maeril, and Yorren go to Sigil through the broken remains of Firemind’s portal wand. But the rescue shape fails because the problem is not only where someone has gone; it is what returning too quickly might preserve.

This book is about hope learning to see clearly. The past is not dead, the future is not separate, and love cannot always restore the beloved in the first obvious way. Dawn becomes not only renewal, but revelation: the wound must be understood before goodness can choose a different path.
