Book 6
Golden Nightmares
Status: Full prose draft complete
Golden Nightmares is about fear becoming civic nightmare. Ṛṣi, Maeril, Elisa, and Firemind return to Waterdeep’s unresolved wounds, where memory, gold, old enemies, criminal factions, magical secrets, and civic terror begin pressing against one another. Waterdeep becomes more than a city of politics and wealth; it becomes a place where fear can take shape.
The book asks what happens when private terror gains enough power to build monsters. The answer is not only courage, and not only kindness. It requires witness, structure, and the stubborn protection of ordinary lives when institutions, nightmares, and old violence begin to move as one system.
