Book 3
Pale Sap Weakness
Status: Full prose draft complete
Pale Sap Weakness is about deep sickness. Ṛṣi and Maeril enter the Wealdath and encounter a wound rooted in bodies, forest, memory, mythal, old vows, family damage, and the land itself. The problem cannot be solved as a normal disease or monster threat; it requires listening to everything the sickness has touched.
This book is the first major proof that healing in the saga is relational, costly, and transformative. Restoration is not a clean victory over damage. When land, people, magic, and memory are bound together, every cure also becomes a negotiation with what has been wounded before.
